What this trial studies

This observational study aims to create a large cohort of individuals diagnosed with or at high risk for brain diseases, including stroke and dementia. Participants will complete the Neuro-QoL questionnaire to assess various aspects of their health and well-being. The study will gather data through medical records, questionnaires, and follow-up interviews to identify risk factors for neurological and psychiatric disorders over time. Ultimately, the goal is to develop scientifically validated strategies to promote and preserve brain health.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults aged 18 and older with established neurological or psychiatric conditions, those at high risk for such conditions, or individuals interested in maintaining brain health.

Not a fit: Patients without any neurological or psychiatric conditions and who are not interested in participating in longitudinal research may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved understanding and management of brain health, potentially reducing the incidence of neurological diseases.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies focusing on longitudinal assessments of brain health have shown promise in identifying risk factors and improving patient outcomes, indicating that this approach is supported by prior research.
