What this trial studies
This observational study aims to enhance the understanding of cardiovascular diseases through advanced cardiac MRI techniques. It will compare myocardial microstructural phenotypes in patients with cardiovascular conditions and healthy individuals, linking these findings to cardiac structure and function. Participants will either undergo an extended clinical cardiac MRI exam or a research-focused non-contrast MRI exam, allowing for a comprehensive analysis of heart tissue characteristics. The study seeks to establish a faster and more efficient cardiac MRI protocol for clinical use.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults aged 18 and older diagnosed with cardiovascular diseases.
Not a fit: Patients with contraindications to MRI or those in vulnerable populations, such as prisoners or individuals with cognitive impairments, may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved diagnostic capabilities and treatment strategies for patients with cardiovascular diseases.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies utilizing advanced MRI techniques have shown promise in improving cardiovascular diagnostics, suggesting this approach may yield beneficial results.
