What this trial studies
This project investigates the feasibility of conducting remote neuropsychological assessments using a newly developed digital test battery for patients with neurological disorders and injuries. The study aims to address the challenges faced by patients who have difficulty traveling to healthcare facilities, particularly in rural areas. By utilizing digital platforms, the research seeks to evaluate cognitive functions in patients diagnosed with conditions such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and epilepsy. The assessments will be conducted remotely, allowing for greater accessibility and convenience for patients.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 18 and above who have been diagnosed with a neurological disorder or are under medical examination for such a diagnosis.
Not a fit: Patients with severe psychiatric disorders, multiple neurological diagnoses, or those unable to participate in a neuropsychological examination will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve access to neuropsychological assessments for patients with neurological disorders, enhancing their diagnosis and treatment planning.
How similar studies have performed: While traditional neuropsychological assessments are typically conducted in-person, this study explores a novel approach that has not been widely tested in the context of remote assessments.
