What this trial studies
This observational study aims to explore the relationship between cardiac biomarkers and advanced echocardiography in patients with psoriasis. By enrolling a cohort of 1,000 participants, the researchers will assess whether these biomarkers can serve as prognostic indicators for cardiovascular disease. The study focuses on the shared inflammatory pathways between psoriasis and cardiovascular conditions, examining how these factors contribute to heart disease risk. The findings may enhance understanding of cardiovascular health in individuals suffering from psoriasis.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 years or older with a diagnosis of psoriasis.
Not a fit: Patients who are unable to cooperate with the study or cannot understand and sign informed consent may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved cardiovascular risk assessment and management for patients with psoriasis.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have indicated a high prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors in psoriasis patients, suggesting that this approach has potential based on existing epidemiological evidence.
