Factors affecting brain health in hemodialysis patients
Influencing Factors of Cerebrovascular Disease and Cognition in Hemodialysis Patients: an Observational Study

What this trial studies
This observational study investigates how various factors influence cerebrovascular disease and cognitive function in patients undergoing hemodialysis. The research focuses on patients aged between 50 and 85 years who have been on dialysis for more than three months. By analyzing the relationship between hemodialysis and cognitive impairment, the study aims to identify potential risk factors and outcomes associated with brain health in this population.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are hemodialysis patients aged 50 to 85 years with a dialysis history of over three months.
Not a fit: Patients with severe infections, anemia, mental illnesses, metabolic diseases, or abnormal liver function may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved understanding and management of cognitive impairment in hemodialysis patients.
How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies on cognitive impairment in hemodialysis patients, this specific focus on cerebrovascular disease and cognition is relatively novel.
