What this trial studies

This study explores the impact of AI-powered motivational speech on patients' fear of movement and mobility levels following total knee arthroplasty (TKA). It addresses the psychological aspect of kinesiophobia, which can hinder recovery by causing patients to avoid movement due to fear of re-injury. By providing motivational support through artificial intelligence, the study aims to improve early mobility and functional outcomes in patients post-surgery. The intervention is designed for individuals who have undergone knee replacement surgery and can communicate in Turkish.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults over 18 who have recently undergone knee replacement surgery and can understand and communicate in Turkish.

Not a fit: Patients experiencing severe pain, those with mental disabilities, or individuals who are unable to use the required headphones may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly enhance recovery and mobility for patients after knee replacement surgery.

How similar studies have performed: While the use of AI in motivational support is a novel approach, similar studies addressing kinesiophobia have shown promise in improving patient outcomes.
