What this trial studies

The China Headache Registry Study collects data from patients aged 4 to 99 years who suffer from various headache disorders, including migraines and tension-type headaches, as well as vertigo and chronic pain conditions. The study aims to investigate biomarkers, imaging features, genetic characteristics, and treatment outcomes related to these conditions. Participants will be followed long-term to assess the effectiveness of treatments and the relationship of headaches with other diseases. The study adheres to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines to ensure data integrity and participant safety.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include individuals aged 4 to 99 years diagnosed with primary or secondary headache disorders according to ICHD-3 criteria.

Not a fit: Patients who are unable to complete headache diaries or who cannot commit to long-term follow-up may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved understanding and management of headache and vertigo disorders, ultimately enhancing patient care.

How similar studies have performed: While similar observational studies have been conducted, this specific registry approach focusing on a comprehensive range of headache and vertigo conditions is relatively novel.
