What this trial studies
The International Headache Registry collects data from patients aged 4 to 99 years who suffer from various headache disorders, including migraines and tension-type headaches, as well as vertigo and chronic pain conditions like fibromyalgia. This observational study aims to analyze biomarkers, imaging features, genetic characteristics, and treatment outcomes related to these conditions. Participants will undergo long-term follow-up to assess the progression and management of their symptoms. The study seeks to enhance understanding of headache-related diseases and their interconnections with other health issues.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include individuals aged 4 to 99 years with diagnosed primary or secondary headache disorders, vertigo, or chronic pain.
Not a fit: Patients who are unable to complete headache diaries or who cannot participate in long-term follow-up may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved diagnosis and treatment strategies for patients suffering from headache disorders and related conditions.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies focusing on headache disorders and their biomarkers have shown promise, indicating that this approach could yield valuable insights.
