What this trial studies
This observational study aims to explore the clinical spectrum and natural progression of Cerebral Small Vessel Disease (CSVD) through a multicenter approach. It will assess clinical, genetic, and epigenetic features of patients diagnosed with CSVD, while also identifying independent imaging markers to enhance clinical management. The study will involve collecting data from patients who meet specific MRI criteria related to CSVD.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults over 18 years old who exhibit specific MRI characteristics indicative of Cerebral Small Vessel Disease.
Not a fit: Patients with non-vascular white matter lesions or other cognitive diseases, such as Alzheimer's or Parkinson's, may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved understanding and management of Cerebral Small Vessel Disease, potentially enhancing patient outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: While there may be existing studies on CSVD, this particular registry approach focusing on a comprehensive assessment of clinical and imaging features is relatively novel.
