What this trial studies
The Cardiometabolic Risk Factors Registry (CARFARE) is an observational registry aimed at assessing various cardiometabolic risk factors in individuals as part of a primary prevention program. Participants undergo a structured evaluation that includes measurements of body mass index (BMI), metabolic profiles, electrocardiograms, blood pressure, arterial stiffness, and screenings for subclinical atherosclerosis using echo-doppler techniques. This comprehensive approach allows for the identification and monitoring of cardiovascular risk factors in a clinical setting.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this registry are adults over 18 years old who are at risk for cardiovascular diseases but have not experienced previous cardiovascular or cerebrovascular events.
Not a fit: Patients with a history of cardiovascular or cerebrovascular events, stable chronic angina, advanced chronic kidney disease, or cancer may not benefit from participation in this registry.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could enhance early detection and management of cardiovascular diseases, potentially reducing the incidence of serious health events.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies focusing on cardiometabolic risk factors have shown success in identifying at-risk populations and improving preventive strategies, suggesting that this approach is both relevant and beneficial.
