Personalized physical activity for elderly muscle health
Biological & Fonctional Signatures for Muscle Failures, Aged People & Personalized Physical Activity : BioFaSt MAPPA

What this trial studies
This study aims to explore the effects of personalized physical activity management on muscle failure in elderly individuals. It will involve 900 seniors divided into three groups: one receiving adapted and personalized physical activity, another receiving adapted physical activity, and a control group with no physical activity. The study will analyze biological signatures related to muscle failure and utilize machine learning techniques for data interpretation. Participants will engage in a 3-month intervention, with a total study duration of 5 years.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are seniors aged 60 and older who are capable of providing informed consent and can participate in a physical activity program.
Not a fit: Patients with neurocognitive disorders or other physical or cognitive pathologies that prevent them from participating in the physical activity protocol may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to tailored physical activity programs that significantly improve muscle health and overall well-being in the elderly.
How similar studies have performed: While the approach of personalized physical activity is gaining traction, this specific study's methodology and focus on biological signatures in elderly muscle failure is relatively novel.
