What this trial studies

This observational study aims to optimize treatment for patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathies by comparing two groups receiving different pulse therapies. Patients will either receive a combination of methylprednisolone and human intravenous immunoglobulin or just methylprednisolone at the onset of their disease. The study follows an internal routine protocol of the service at the University of Sao Paulo, focusing on the effectiveness of these treatment regimens.
