What this trial studies
The NUMITOR study is an analytical observational study designed to create a multicenter registry focused on nummular headache. It employs a cohort design that includes both retrospective and prospective data collection. The study aims to enhance understanding of nummular headache and evaluate the effectiveness and tolerability of various preventive treatments as determined by neurologists. Participants will be patients diagnosed with nummular headache who require preventive treatment, whether oral or injectable.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults over 18 years old with a diagnosis of nummular headache lasting more than three months.
Not a fit: Patients whose headaches are better explained by other conditions or who have serious systemic or psychiatric issues may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide valuable insights into effective treatment options for patients suffering from nummular headache.
How similar studies have performed: While there may be studies on headache disorders, this specific focus on nummular headache treatments is relatively novel and underexplored.
