What this trial studies

This study evaluates the feasibility and effectiveness of a 6-month nutrition-based intervention aimed at preventing cognitive decline in adults at higher risk for dementia. Participants will be randomized into intervention and control groups, with the intervention group receiving nutrition education, cognitive training, and clinical consultations. The control group will receive a healthy recipes cookbook and an invitation to cooking workshops after data collection. Assessments will be conducted at baseline, after the intervention, and at a 6-month follow-up to measure various health and cognitive outcomes.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 55 to 85 years with a higher risk for dementia.

Not a fit: Patients with a diagnosis of dementia or major incapacity will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly reduce the risk of cognitive decline and improve the quality of life for older adults.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results with nutrition-based interventions for cognitive health, suggesting this approach may be effective.
