What this trial studies
This observational study aims to create a large-scale prospective cohort of patients diagnosed with various hematological diseases, including acute myeloid leukemia and multiple myeloma, in China. It will collect comprehensive data on the incidence, risk factors, treatment methods, prognosis, and medical expenses associated with these conditions. By analyzing this data, the study seeks to fill the gap in existing research, which has been limited by smaller, single-center cohorts. The study will include patients diagnosed from January 1, 2020, and will gather information from medical records to ensure a thorough understanding of these diseases.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are patients diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, multiple myeloma, or other specified hematological disorders.
Not a fit: Patients with serious concomitant diseases or those unable to comply with study requirements may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide valuable insights into the management and treatment of hematological diseases, potentially improving patient outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: While there have been smaller cohort studies, this large-scale prospective approach is relatively novel in the field of hematology in China.
