Long-term outcomes for patients recovering from hepatitis B related liver failure
The Investigation on Long-term Outcomes and Prognostic Factors of Patients With Hepatitis B Related Acute-on-chronic Liver Failure

What this trial studies
This observational study investigates the long-term prognosis and risk factors for patients who have recovered from hepatitis B virus-related acute-on-chronic liver failure. It focuses on patients who survived more than 90 days post-hospitalization and analyzes their clinical data through retrospective methods. Additionally, the study includes follow-up surveys conducted via telephone to gather comprehensive long-term outcome data. The aim is to fill the gap in existing research regarding the long-term survival rates and prognostic factors for these patients.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 to 65 who have been diagnosed with hepatitis B associated chronic acute liver failure and survived more than 90 days post-hospitalization.
Not a fit: Patients with HIV infection, liver cancer, autoimmune liver diseases, or other serious conditions that significantly affect survival may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide valuable insights into the long-term health outcomes and management strategies for patients recovering from hepatitis B related liver failure.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have primarily focused on short-term survival rates, making this investigation into long-term outcomes a novel approach.
