What this trial studies
This observational study aims to explore how various biopsychosocial factors influence the outcomes of patients suffering from chronic low back and neck pain who are referred to public health rehabilitation programs. It will assess the reliability of commonly used Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) through multiple assessment sessions before and after rehabilitation, as well as follow-ups at 3 and 6 months post-discharge. The study will involve comprehensive evaluations to determine the predictive value of these variables on patient recovery.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults with a medical diagnosis of chronic nonspecific low back or neck pain lasting at least 6 months who are awaiting rehabilitation.
Not a fit: Patients with cognitive impairments may not benefit from this study due to the nature of the assessments involved.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance rehabilitation strategies for patients with chronic spinal pain by identifying key predictive factors for better outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: While the approach of assessing biopsychosocial factors in rehabilitation is common, the specific focus on PROMs reliability in this context may provide novel insights.
