What this trial studies
This pilot program investigates the effects of brain health assessments and training tools delivered online, alongside in-person workshops, on college campuses. Participants will engage in cognitive assessments, access micro-learning modules on various brain health topics, and receive coaching to promote healthier brain habits. The study aims to evaluate the feasibility and efficacy of these interventions over a one-year period, with the potential to inform future expansions to other institutions.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include college students and faculty/staff at UTD or Dallas College who are at least 18 years old and fluent in English.
Not a fit: Patients with diagnosed neurodegenerative diseases or significant brain injuries that impair functioning may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this initiative could enhance cognitive, emotional, and lifestyle outcomes for college students and staff, leading to healthier campus environments.
How similar studies have performed: While this approach is innovative, similar studies focusing on brain health interventions in educational settings have shown promising results.
