What this trial studies

This study utilizes high-resolution MR vessel wall imaging to examine patients with cerebral and cervical artery occlusions. The goal is to investigate how the appearance of thrombus on imaging correlates with the outcomes of recanalization treatments. By understanding these relationships, the study aims to address challenges in thrombus characteristics and improve prevention strategies for cerebrovascular diseases. Participants will undergo imaging to help identify potential biomarkers for arterial thrombophilia.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults aged 18 and older with confirmed artery occlusions who can undergo high-resolution MR imaging.

Not a fit: Patients with mild to moderate artery stenosis, pregnant women, or those with prior stenting complications may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved treatment strategies and prevention methods for patients at risk of cerebrovascular diseases.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown promise in using imaging techniques to understand thrombus characteristics, suggesting potential for success in this approach.
