What this trial studies
This clinical trial aims to assess the recovery and pain levels at the palatal donor site following free gingival graft (FGG) surgeries. It will compare the effects of cyanoacrylate tissue adhesives and concentrated growth factor (CGF) on wound healing and patient comfort. The study will involve a randomized controlled design to ensure reliable results, focusing on the morbidity associated with the donor area. By isolating the wound from the oral environment and utilizing advanced healing techniques, the study seeks to improve patient outcomes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are systemically healthy individuals who have not undergone periodontal surgery in the last six months.
Not a fit: Patients who smoke, have medication allergies, or experience high anxiety may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance healing and reduce discomfort for patients undergoing gum graft procedures.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results with the use of cyanoacrylate and platelet concentrates in enhancing wound healing, suggesting this approach may be effective.
