What this trial studies

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of diaphragmatic breathing exercises and aerobic exercise training on the respiratory functions and vocal performance of choir singers. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: those receiving only diaphragmatic breathing training, those receiving both diaphragmatic and aerobic training, and a control group. The study will assess improvements in respiratory function and voice performance through various tests conducted by a physiotherapist.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are choir singers aged 25-60 who are minimally active and rehearse regularly.

Not a fit: Patients with neurological or orthopedic diseases or significant cardiopulmonary conditions may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance respiratory health and vocal performance in choir singers.

How similar studies have performed: While similar approaches have been explored, this specific combination of interventions in choir singers is relatively novel.
