What this trial studies
This observational study focuses on Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome (OSAS), a prevalent sleep disorder affecting a significant portion of the population. It aims to utilize a multidisciplinary network to enhance early diagnosis and therapy monitoring for patients suffering from OSAS. The study will assess the cognitive impairments associated with OSAS and explore the underlying mechanisms contributing to these issues. Participants will be evaluated based on established diagnostic criteria, and their experiences will inform future public health strategies.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults over 18 years diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.
Not a fit: Patients who are unable to provide informed consent or who choose to withdraw from the study may not benefit from this research.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could lead to improved early diagnosis and management of obstructive sleep apnea, enhancing patients' quality of life.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in using multidisciplinary approaches for diagnosing and managing sleep disorders, indicating potential for this model.
