What this trial studies
RECOVER is a prospective, non-interventional, single-center cohort enrolling adults referred to Hochgebirgsklinik Davos for cardiac rehabilitation who provide written consent. Participants will have routine clinical data recorded and will complete questionnaires and functional assessments during the rehabilitation program, with longitudinal follow-up through the planned study period. The investigative team will analyze recovery trajectories across diagnoses such as heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, CABG, and post–cardiac arrest to identify predictors of outcomes. The study does not alter standard clinical care and is observational in design.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Adults (age ≥18) referred to Hochgebirgsklinik Davos for cardiac rehabilitation who can give written informed consent and understand German are ideal candidates.
Not a fit: Patients who are not referred for cardiac rehabilitation, who cannot communicate in German, or who have physical or psychological impairments that prevent participation are unlikely to benefit from joining.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, the findings could help tailor cardiac rehabilitation programs and identify factors that predict better long-term recovery for patients.
How similar studies have performed: Other observational cardiac rehabilitation cohorts have produced useful insights into outcomes and predictors, though a long-term monocentric cohort at a high-altitude clinic like Davos is relatively novel.
