AI-assisted non-contrast CT for detecting multiple cancers
A Prospective Cohort Study Evaluating the Utility of Artificial Intelligence-Assisted Non-Contrast Computed Tomography for Multi-Cancer Screening in Asymptomatic Individuals Undergoing Routine Health Examinations

What this trial studies
This study evaluates the effectiveness of an AI-assisted non-contrast CT imaging model for screening multiple types of cancer, including lung, liver, gastric, colorectal, esophageal, pancreatic, and breast cancers. It aims to enroll 1 million asymptomatic participants who will undergo routine health examinations at designated centers in China. The AI model will automatically detect cancerous lesions, and positive cases will be referred for further imaging and care according to established guidelines. The goal is to improve early detection rates and treatment outcomes for these cancers.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are asymptomatic individuals who have undergone non-contrast abdominal or chest CT scans.
Not a fit: Patients who have been diagnosed with any of the targeted cancers within the last five years will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly enhance early cancer detection and improve survival rates for patients.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies utilizing AI for cancer detection have shown promising results, indicating potential success for this approach.
