What this trial studies
Researchers will enroll adolescents who report past cyberbullying and divide them into an experimental group that receives the human values–oriented prevention program and a control group that does not. Data will be collected with face-to-face interviews and standardized pre-tests including a Personal Information Form, the Cyber Victimization and Bullying Scale, and the Coping Scale for Adolescents. Outcomes will compare changes in reported cyberbullying/cybervictimization and coping skills between groups. The intervention is delivered in school settings at participating high schools in Adana.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are volunteers aged 14–18 who live in Adana city center, can communicate in person, have active internet access, and score 23 or higher on the Cyber Victimization and Bullying Scale.
Not a fit: Teens who have not experienced cyberbullying, lack active internet access, cannot attend in-person sessions, or fall outside the 14–18 age range are unlikely to benefit from this program.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, the program could lower cyberbullying incidents and improve coping skills among participating adolescents.
How similar studies have performed: School-based and values- or skills-oriented anti-bullying programs have shown mixed but often promising results for reducing bullying and improving coping, while this exact human-values program is relatively novel.
