Xuong tan lac than exercise for joint mobility and muscle endurance
Assessment of Changes in Range of Motion and Muscle Endurance After Practicing the "Xuong Tan Lac Than" Exercise in Healthy Volunteers
NA · University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City · NCT07520071

What this trial studies
This is a pre-post intervention study enrolling healthy adult volunteers who will be trained to perform the traditional Xuong tan lac than exercise. Participants will practice the exercise once daily, five days per week, for 12 weeks and return for measurements at baseline and at 2, 4, 8, and 12 weeks. Primary outcomes are joint range of motion (cervical and lumbar spine, shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee, and ankle) and muscle endurance around these joints. The protocol excludes individuals with active internal or surgical medical conditions or those unable to complete the movement assessments.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Healthy adults aged 18 or older with normal vital signs who can commit to daily practice and attend training and assessment visits are ideal candidates.
Not a fit: People with active internal or surgical medical conditions, those unable to perform the required movements, or those who cannot attend the in-person training and follow-up visits are unlikely to benefit from participation.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this exercise could provide a simple, low-cost approach to improve joint mobility and muscle endurance in healthy people.
How similar studies have performed: Related traditional movement practices such as tai chi and qigong have shown benefits for balance and mobility, but the specific effects of Xuong tan lac than are largely untested in published clinical research.
