What this trial studies
This study investigates the effects of white noise on pain, anxiety, and comfort levels in women undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF). It is a randomized controlled experimental study conducted at Ondokuz Mayıs University Health Application and Research Center. Participants will be divided into a white noise group and a routine care group to assess the impact of white noise during the embryo transfer process. The study aims to provide insights into non-pharmacological methods to enhance the IVF experience for women facing infertility.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are women aged 18-35 diagnosed with primary infertility who can communicate in Turkish.
Not a fit: Patients who have recently undergone oocyte pick-up, intrauterine insemination, or embryo transfer may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly reduce pain and anxiety for women undergoing IVF, improving their overall experience.
How similar studies have performed: While various non-pharmacological methods have been explored in similar contexts, the specific use of white noise during IVF has not been previously studied.
