What this trial studies
This project aims to improve functionality in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS) through an innovative exercise program that utilizes immersive virtual reality (VR) technology. The ExeRVIEM program combines physical therapy with engaging exergames designed to motivate participants and enhance their rehabilitation experience. By leveraging VR, the program seeks to provide a more enjoyable and effective alternative to conventional physiotherapy methods. Participants will be assessed on their ability to engage with the VR exercises and follow the intervention protocol.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 18-65 diagnosed with multiple sclerosis who can stand and follow the intervention protocol.
Not a fit: Patients with uncontrolled disease outbreaks or severe visual impairments may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly enhance the rehabilitation experience and outcomes for patients with multiple sclerosis.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown promising results using immersive virtual reality in rehabilitation for other conditions, suggesting potential success for this novel approach in MS.
