What this trial studies
This trial investigates the safety and efficacy of Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF) derived from adipose tissue for treating knee arthrosis. Patients will undergo a single liposuction procedure to obtain SVF, which will then be isolated and frozen for future use. The SVF will be injected into the fat pad of the knee up to two times, potentially allowing for multiple treatments from a single liposuction. This approach aims to reduce the need for repeated procedures while providing therapeutic benefits.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include individuals with knee arthrosis and related conditions such as osteochondral lesions, inflammatory complaints, and anterior knee pain.
Not a fit: Patients with conditions unrelated to knee arthrosis or those who do not meet the inclusion criteria may not benefit from this treatment.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this treatment could significantly alleviate pain and improve function for patients suffering from knee arthrosis.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in using SVF for various conditions, indicating potential for success in this novel application for knee arthrosis.
