What this trial studies
This observational study aims to estimate how often neuropathic pain and migraines occur in patients suffering from osteoarthritis affecting various joints. Participants will complete questionnaires during their routine consultations to assess their pain perception, emotional management, and functional ability, alongside their usual osteoarthritis care. The study focuses on gathering data to better understand the relationship between osteoarthritis and these additional pain conditions.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults over 18 with diagnosed osteoarthritis who can read and understand French.
Not a fit: Patients who are unable to complete self-questionnaires or refuse to participate will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the understanding of pain management in osteoarthritis patients, leading to improved treatment strategies.
How similar studies have performed: While similar studies have explored pain in osteoarthritis, this specific focus on migraines and neuropathic pain is relatively novel.
