What this trial studies

This intervention focuses on improving metacognitive abilities and self-knowledge among young individuals aged 18 to 29. Utilizing immersive training techniques, specifically the EYME platform, the program aims to facilitate personal identity exploration in a safe virtual environment. The study evaluates the effectiveness of this training in enhancing self-concept clarity, reflective function, and overall mental functioning. Participants will engage in activities designed to promote understanding of their own and others' mental states, which is crucial for healthy interpersonal relationships.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this program are young adults aged 18 to 29 who are interested in improving their self-knowledge and metacognitive skills.

Not a fit: Patients currently diagnosed with a mental disorder or undergoing psychological treatment may not benefit from this program.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly enhance self-awareness and interpersonal skills in young people, leading to better mental health outcomes.

How similar studies have performed: While immersive training approaches are gaining traction, this specific application of virtual reality for enhancing metacognitive abilities in young people is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
