What this trial studies

This clinical trial evaluates the effectiveness of three different restoration techniques for endodontically treated mandibular first permanent molars: Lithium Disilicate Endo-Crowns, EverX Posterior with Vita Endo-Crowns, and EverX Posterior with Bulk-Fill Resin Restorations. The study employs a randomized controlled design with parallel groups to compare clinical success, radiographic outcomes, and patient satisfaction. Participants aged 15 and older with significant tooth structure loss will be included, and the trial aims to assess the benefits of digital, conventional, and biomimetic approaches in dental restoration. The study is set to begin in September 2024 and will follow participants for up to one year.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are patients aged 15 and older with endodontically treated mandibular first permanent molars requiring cuspal coverage.

Not a fit: Patients with poor oral hygiene, extensive tooth cracks, or non-restorable teeth may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved restoration techniques for endodontically treated teeth, enhancing patient outcomes and satisfaction.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results with similar restorative approaches, indicating potential for success in this trial.
