Registry for patients with structural ventricular arrhythmias in China

China Structural Ventricular Arrhythmias Registry, a Multicenter,Observational and Prospective Study.

China National Center for Cardiovascular Diseases · NCT03821051

This study is trying to find out how common serious heart rhythm problems are in China and what factors might increase the risk for people with these conditions by collecting health information from 2000 participants.

What this trial studies

This observational, prospective, multi-center registry aims to build a risk stratification for malignant structural ventricular arrhythmias by recruiting 2000 participants from 10 major arrhythmia centers across China. Participants will have their clinical data abstracted from medical records and blood samples collected to identify promising risk indicators. Follow-ups will occur every six months to monitor the condition of arrhythmia and related clinical events. The study seeks to clarify the prevalence and risk factors associated with these arrhythmias in the Chinese population.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals diagnosed with ventricular arrhythmias resulting from structural heart diseases such as ischemic cardiomyopathy or dilated cardiomyopathy.

Not a fit: Patients without a definitive diagnosis of ventricular arrhythmia or those with arrhythmias not related to structural heart diseases may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved risk assessment and early prevention strategies for patients with malignant ventricular arrhythmias.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies focusing on risk stratification for ventricular arrhythmias have shown promise, but this specific registry approach is novel in the Chinese context.
