Predicting responses in metastatic lung cancer using AI
AI-HOPE Lung Cancer: Building a Predictive Tool for Metastatic Lung Cancer
This study is testing an AI tool to see if it can help doctors predict how well patients with advanced lung cancer will respond to immunotherapy and chemo-immunotherapy treatments.

What this trial studies
This project aims to develop a predictive response algorithm for patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) by utilizing an artificial intelligence platform. It will gather comprehensive patient data from clinical, laboratory, radiological, and pathological sources to analyze correlations and connections over time. The focus is on identifying non-responders to immunotherapy and chemo-immunotherapy, with two specific cohorts being studied. The goal is to create a reliable predictive score that evolves with incoming data, enhancing treatment personalization.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include patients diagnosed with Stage IV NSCLC who have received at least one cycle of immunotherapy or chemo-immunotherapy.
Not a fit: Patients with other types of thoracic tumors or those not at Stage IV may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could significantly improve treatment outcomes by identifying patients who are unlikely to respond to current therapies.
How similar studies have performed: While the use of AI in predicting treatment responses is a growing field, this specific approach to metastatic lung cancer is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
Eligibility criteria
