Predicting outcomes for patients with ischemic stroke from large-artery atherosclerosis
A Prospective Observational Cohort Study of Predictive Factors Related to Prognosis of In-hosiptal Patients With Ischemic Stroke Due to Large-artery Atherosclerosis

What this trial studies
This observational study aims to identify predictive factors related to the prognosis of patients suffering from ischemic stroke due to large-artery atherosclerosis. Conducted at Tongji Hospital, it will recruit 1000 patients from March 2021 to December 2026, collecting detailed clinical data and assessing stroke severity using the NIHSS and mRS scales. The study will utilize various imaging techniques and blood tests to analyze in-hospital factors that may influence patient outcomes, ultimately providing evidence-based treatment suggestions.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include patients diagnosed with ischemic stroke due to large-artery atherosclerosis with specific stenosis criteria.
Not a fit: Patients with cerebral hemorrhage or severe systemic diseases expected to survive less than three months may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the understanding of prognosis in ischemic stroke patients, leading to improved treatment strategies.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in identifying prognostic factors in ischemic stroke, suggesting that this approach may yield valuable insights.
