Observing the causes and progression of cardiomyopathy
Genetics, Imaging and Artificial Intelligence for Precision Care in Cardiomyopathy
Imperial College London · NCT05750147

What this trial studies
This study aims to gather data from individuals diagnosed with cardiomyopathy or those with a genetic predisposition to the condition. Participants will provide DNA and blood samples, along with detailed clinical and lifestyle information, which will be monitored over time during routine healthcare visits. The goal is to better understand the genetic and environmental factors influencing cardiomyopathy and its progression, ultimately leading to improved diagnostic and treatment strategies.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults with a confirmed diagnosis of cardiomyopathy, those with a family history of the condition, or individuals with genetic variants linked to cardiomyopathy.
Not a fit: Patients without the capacity to provide informed consent will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to enhanced understanding and treatment options for patients with cardiomyopathies.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in understanding cardiomyopathies through genetic and observational approaches, indicating potential for success in this study.
