What this trial studies

This observational study aims to investigate the pathogenesis and clinical prognosis of central nervous system idiopathic inflammatory demyelinating diseases (CNS IIDD) such as Multiple Sclerosis and Neuromyelitis Optica in the Chinese population. It will clarify clinical characteristics and prognostic factors of these diseases while analyzing the relationship between biomarkers and disease progression. Participants will receive standard diagnosis and treatment plans based on current guidelines, along with clinical evaluations and follow-ups from neuroimmunology specialists.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are patients aged 18-65 years diagnosed with CNS idiopathic inflammatory demyelinating diseases.

Not a fit: Patients with a history of central nervous system tumors or other specified demyelinating diseases may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance understanding of CNS IIDD and improve clinical treatment decisions for patients.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in understanding CNS IIDD through observational approaches, making this study a continuation of established research.
