What this trial studies

This observational cohort aims to gather data on patients with uveitis and spondyloarthritis to better understand the relationship between these conditions. The study will track the clinical features, diagnostic criteria, and disease management strategies employed for these patients. By utilizing imaging techniques and clinical assessments, researchers hope to identify patterns and outcomes that can inform future treatment approaches. The cohort will include patients diagnosed with uveitis, while excluding those with prior spondyloarthritis diagnoses or infectious uveitis.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are patients currently diagnosed with uveitis.

Not a fit: Patients who have been previously diagnosed with spondyloarthritis before the onset of uveitis or those with infectious uveitis may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance understanding of the interplay between uveitis and spondyloarthritis, leading to improved diagnostic and treatment strategies for affected patients.

How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies on spondyloarthritis and uveitis separately, this specific observational cohort approach is relatively novel and untested.
