What this trial studies

This observational study aims to describe the diverse range of patients with Bipolar Disorder admitted to both outpatient and inpatient psychiatric departments across Norway. It includes all bipolar patients, regardless of the presence of co-morbid disorders, and utilizes a comprehensive approach involving clinical evaluations, imaging studies (CT or MRI), EEGs, and blood sample collection for genetic mapping. The study leverages Norway's homogeneous society and public health system to track patient outcomes over several years.
