What this trial studies
This study aims to create a prospective cohort of pediatric patients diagnosed with idiopathic nephrotic syndrome (INS) to collect and analyze their epidemiological characteristics. The cohort will include patients treated at centers affiliated with the Société de Néphrologie Pédiatrique in France, with data collected through medical records, telephone interviews, and quality of life questionnaires. The goal is to establish a structured follow-up system that will facilitate future cohort-nested trials and improve understanding of this rare disease.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are children under 18 years of age diagnosed with idiopathic nephrotic syndrome since January 1, 2018.
Not a fit: Patients who do not meet the inclusion criteria or refuse to participate will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved treatment strategies and better management of idiopathic nephrotic syndrome in children.
How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies on nephrotic syndrome, this specific cohort approach is novel and aims to fill a gap in structured follow-up for pediatric patients.
