What this trial studies
This study investigates the impact of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) on the motivation and compliance of patients undergoing immunosuppressive therapy following liver transplantation. A total of 60 participants will be divided into subgroups and receive eight weekly MBCT sessions led by trained psychologists. The study aims to assess whether MBCT can enhance patients' adherence to their medication regimens and improve their overall motivation levels. Data will be collected before and after the intervention to evaluate its effectiveness.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older who are post-liver transplant patients receiving immunosuppressive treatment and are able to communicate effectively.
Not a fit: Patients with hearing or mental health issues, or those who choose to withdraw from the study, may not benefit from this intervention.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve medication adherence and health outcomes for liver transplant recipients.
