What this trial studies
This study involves the ongoing follow-up of patients diagnosed with inflammatory cardiomyopathy, who were initially recruited by the SFB/TR19 project. Participants will undergo annual assessments, or more frequent evaluations if clinically necessary, using standardized protocols to gather medical history, conduct examinations, and analyze laboratory biomarkers. Additionally, various biomaterials will be collected for biobanking purposes to support future research. The aim is to monitor the progression of the condition and gather valuable data for understanding cardiomyopathies and heart failure.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals who have previously participated in the baseline examination of the SFB/TR19 project and have been diagnosed with inflammatory cardiomyopathy.
Not a fit: Patients who have not been diagnosed with inflammatory cardiomyopathy or did not participate in the baseline examination of the SFB/TR19 project may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the understanding and management of inflammatory cardiomyopathy, leading to improved patient outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: While this study builds on existing knowledge from the SFB/TR19 project, the specific long-term follow-up approach for inflammatory cardiomyopathy may provide novel insights into the condition.
