What this trial studies
This program aims to follow up on participants from the Kuwait Diabetes Epidemiology Program to identify risk factors for prediabetes and diabetes in the Kuwaiti population. It focuses on understanding the impact of obesity and genetic factors on the onset of diabetes and related metabolic disorders. By collecting longitudinal data, the study seeks to enhance the understanding of diabetes progression and inform prevention strategies. The research will utilize a multidisciplinary approach, incorporating genetics, biochemistry, and epidemiology.
