What this trial studies
This observational study investigates how metabolic syndrome (MetS) affects cognitive performance and physical activity in adults aged 18-50. Participants diagnosed with MetS will be compared to healthy individuals without any metabolic issues. The study aims to assess cognitive performance through various tests while considering the influence of MetS components such as obesity, diabetes, and hypertension. Participants will provide voluntary consent and undergo health assessments to ensure eligibility.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18-50 who have been diagnosed with metabolic syndrome.
Not a fit: Patients with neurological, psychiatric, or psychological diseases that may affect cognitive status will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance understanding of how metabolic syndrome impacts cognitive function, potentially leading to better management strategies for affected patients.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown a correlation between metabolic syndrome and cognitive decline, suggesting that this approach is supported by existing research.
