Identifying new biomarkers for personalized treatment of inflammatory rheumatic diseases
Identification of New Biomarkers to Improve Diagnostics or Predict Treatment Responses, Adverse Events or Prognosis in Patients With Inflammatory Rheumatic Disease Followed in the Danish Nationwide Quality Registry, DANBIO
This study is trying to find new markers in the blood that can help doctors give better, personalized treatments to people with inflammatory rheumatic diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis.

What this trial studies
This observational study aims to identify diagnostic, prognostic, and predictive biomarkers for patients with inflammatory rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis. By collecting clinical data and biological materials from patients in routine care, the study seeks to enhance early diagnosis, improve prognostication, and predict treatment effectiveness and tolerability. The goal is to tailor treatments more effectively to individual patients, addressing the significant issue of treatment failure in current therapies.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults aged 18 and older diagnosed with or suspected of having inflammatory rheumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, or gout.
Not a fit: Patients who do not have inflammatory rheumatic diseases or are under 18 years old may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to more effective and personalized treatment options for patients with inflammatory rheumatic diseases.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promise in identifying biomarkers for inflammatory diseases, suggesting that this approach could yield valuable insights.
