What this trial studies
This clinical trial aims to address the decline in mental health among adolescents by implementing a structured intervention that focuses on discovering and developing personal talents. Utilizing a virtual reality platform called Explore Your Meanings (EYME), participants will explore their identity and construct a life project that aligns with their ideal self. The intervention combines humanistic integrative psychotherapy with identity exploration and vocational guidance through the Geniotype test. The effectiveness of this approach will be evaluated using established psychological scales to measure life satisfaction and mental health outcomes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adolescents aged 14 to 18 who are currently in school.
Not a fit: Patients with a recent diagnosis of mental disorders, active psychological treatment, or those experiencing suicidal ideation may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly enhance life satisfaction and mental health among adolescents.
How similar studies have performed: While the approach is innovative, similar interventions focusing on identity and personal development have shown promise in improving mental health outcomes in adolescents.
