What this trial studies

This clinical trial aims to assess exercise tolerance in girls aged 8-18 years with Turner Syndrome by conducting cardiopulmonary exercise tests. The study will compare the VO2 max of participants to standard values and evaluate how cardiovascular parameters such as heart rate and blood pressure change during exercise. Participants will undergo a standardized cyclo-ergometry test to gather data on their exercise capacity and cardiovascular response.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are girls aged 8-18 years diagnosed with Turner Syndrome.

Not a fit: Patients with severe mental impairment that prevents them from performing an exercise test will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide valuable insights into the exercise capacity of girls with Turner Syndrome, leading to better management and tailored interventions.

How similar studies have performed: While there may be limited studies specifically on exercise testing in Turner Syndrome, similar approaches in assessing exercise tolerance in other populations have shown promising results.
