What this trial studies

This study aims to assess the Turkish validity and reliability of the Outcome Expectations for Yoga (OEY) Scale, which evaluates attitudes and beliefs regarding the benefits of yoga practice. The OEY scale focuses on measuring the physical, mental, and spiritual health benefits that adults may derive from engaging in yoga. By validating this scale in Turkish, the study seeks to provide a culturally relevant tool for understanding yoga's impact on health in the Turkish population.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 years and older who have not recently engaged in yoga or similar practices.

Not a fit: Patients who are pregnant, have a Body Mass Index above 40, or have practiced yoga or similar therapies frequently in the past month or year may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a validated tool for assessing the benefits of yoga, helping to enhance its practice and integration into health programs.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have successfully validated similar psychometric scales in different cultural contexts, suggesting a promising approach for this validation effort.
