What this trial studies
This observational study aims to assess the clinical and radiological outcomes of total ankle replacement surgeries performed between January 2011 and March 2026. It includes both retrospective and prospective evaluations, focusing on the effectiveness of different types of ankle prosthetics. The study will collect clinical data and radiological parameters through routine evaluations and questionnaires to provide a comprehensive overview of patient outcomes. The findings are expected to fill a gap in the existing literature regarding ankle joint surgeries.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older who have undergone or will undergo total ankle replacement surgery during the study period.
Not a fit: Patients under 18 years of age at the time of surgery will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of total ankle replacement, improving patient outcomes and guiding future surgical practices.
How similar studies have performed: While few studies have reported on ankle replacement outcomes, this study aims to provide a comprehensive reference, suggesting a novel approach to evaluating these surgeries.
