What this trial studies

This study aims to assess autonomic function and cerebrovascular control in 60 healthy subjects through noninvasive analysis of time series variability. Participants will undergo an orthostatic challenge while their heart period, blood pressure, cerebral blood velocity, and peripheral resistances are recorded. Advanced signal processing techniques will be utilized to evaluate the interactions between autonomic cardiovascular function and cerebrovascular control. The study focuses on understanding how these systems work together in healthy individuals.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are healthy adults over the age of 18 who can provide informed consent.

Not a fit: Patients under 18 years old or those with autonomic nervous system diseases or dysfunctions may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance our understanding of autonomic nervous system function and its impact on cardiovascular and cerebrovascular health.

How similar studies have performed: While this approach is observational and may have been explored in various forms, the specific focus on healthy subjects and advanced signal processing techniques may offer novel insights.
